Artist’s Choice offers a rare opportunity to experience the Hudson Valley’s creative community through a work each artist considers among the strongest representation of their practice. This juried exhibition celebrates the depth, diversity, and creative excellence of artists working within a 50-mile radius of Woodstock. Selected through an open call, 32 regional artists were invited to engage in a process of reflection and self-curation through works they felt most powerfully represented their artistic voice, vision, and evolution. Rather than responding to a prescribed theme, artists were encouraged to look inward, and consider the pieces that define their practice, mark a breakthrough, or exemplify the highest level of craft and meaning they have achieved. The result is an exhibition that is both deeply personal and collectively compelling, offering audiences an authentic glimpse into what artists themselves value as their strongest artistic contributions.
